Sheffield Hallam was awarded Silver in the UK Government’s Teaching Excellence Framework, meaning that they consistently go beyond national quality requirements. Their distinctive approach mixes lectures and seminars with workshops, placements and real-world projects – so you graduate with the skills and experience employers want. They have invested over £100 million in new buildings and facilities over the last five years, providing innovative, flexible and sustainable spaces that enhance the student experience.

The university prides itself on the applied nature of its courses and offers guaranteed work experience on their degree courses. Their courses have been developed with professional institutes and industry experts, so you gain the skills that employers are looking for. Many of their courses are accredited by leading professional bodies, such as the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Hallam is now accredited with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) placing us within the top 5% of business schools globally.

Sheffield is the fifth biggest city in the UK with over 60,000 students, so everything is geared towards students. Sheffield is a safe and friendly city and is in the top 10 most affordable student cities for its cost of living and accommodation. It has everything from independent shops to student bars, yet in a 20-minute bus ride you can be in the middle of the Peak District National Park.
