Glasgow Caledonian is a University for the Common Good; a vibrant, innovative and multi-award winning university. We are a global university with 20,000 students across three campuses – Glasgow, London and New York - and representing over 100 countries. GCU’s flagship self-contained campus is situated in the heart of Glasgow city centre, commonly voted as one of the friendliest, safest and best places to live in the world. ‘People make Glasgow’ signs can be found all over the city, and it’s true that people give Glasgow its spark. This is the reason why we are so often voted as a number one city to visit and we welcome hundreds of international students to Glasgow each year. Glasgow Caledonian University provides one of the best learning environments in the UK at our modern campus in the heart of Glasgow. The hub of the campus is our striking Sir Alex Ferguson Library. Our award-winning library houses hundreds of thousands of books, 1200 study spaces, over 350 computers and the University’s archives and special collections. Degree options at GCU include public health, environmental studies, nursing, big data, cyber security, business management and MBA and programme accreditations include IET, EI, CIWEM, InstMC, ACCA, CMI, HCPC, IBMS and NMC.
Our academic schools offer a wide range of high quality programmes, professional training courses, research opportunities and consultancy services. Internationalisation is one of the major forces shaping higher education. We have made significant progress through the recruitment of a growing international community of students, the appointment of international staff, the development of a range of international alliances based on research and scholarships, student exchanges, articulation agreements with overseas institutions and our successful validation partnership with the National University of Science and Technology.
Our Internationalisation Strategy is interlinked with the University's Learning and Teaching and Research and Knowledge Transfer strategies. We aim to give international students at Glasgow Caledonian University not only high-quality programmes and award-winning support, but also a truly memorable experience. That's what makes Glasgow Caledonian the top choice of students from more than 100 countries. Our main campus in Glasgow is at the centre of the largest city in Scotland and the fourth-largest in the UK, with close links to national and international transport options. When you come from overseas to study at any of our campuses, you can expect a life-changing learning experience. We offer a world-class education at an affordable price.
