Scholarships and grants

We have a great scholarships programme at Newcastle for EU students, details of which can be found here including automatic scholarships (Vice Chancellors EU Scholarships) where we essentially discount the international fee by up to 70% to bring the tuition fee in line with home student fees. No application necessary as they are automatically awarded once we make students a conditional offer. They are for UG and PG taught programmes, including MRes courses.

We also offer a number of merit based scholarships (Vice Chancellors Excellence Scholarships) at both UG and PG level which students can apply for and these represent an additional £6,000 off the cost of tuition fees, on top of the automatic award mentioned above. Students must apply by May 2022.

And finally we have x2 100% scholarships for students in the Business School (Vice Chancellors EU Business Excellence scholarships) – one at undergraduate level and one at postgraduate level. For students looking to study on a programme in our Business School.

All scholarships are awarded for every year of study. Eligibility details included in the link.

A warm welcome is waiting for you in the UK! In our first session, we speak with European students to bring you their insider tips about arrival in the UK, university life and culture, studying during the pandemic, vaccination for students… and any other questions you may want to ask.
