Renowned for technology and innovation, Derby is a thriving multicultural city and home to a wide range of industries with many global companies based here including Rolls-Royce, Toyota and Bombardier. It’s an exciting place to learn and experience university life, providing students with many opportunities to gain real world experience through placements and internships.

By choosing to study at The University of Derby you’ll put yourself ahead of the competition, with top rated facilities and courses built with your employability in mind it’s no surprise that 96% of our graduates are employed or in further studies 6 months after graduating.

We strive to deliver a stimulating and challenging programme of study for students to develop their skills. Many of our courses give students the opportunity to undertake a work placement year. Students have the opportunity to work for high profile organisations such as IBM, Microsoft and Boots, meaning they graduate with transferable skills, valuable contacts from industry and a comprehensive CV. We’ll give you an experience that will prepare you for a lifetime of achievement.
