Working and mobility

As an alumnus of the University of Stirling and now Recruitment Manager for Europe, I am in the unique position to not only provide professional advice to our EU students but also a personal one. The University of Stirling has a fantastic reputation for welcoming students from around the world and students who live and study on campus love the stunning beauty, the wildlife and community feel.

Scarlett has worked in international education for 5 years, with experience across multiple geographical regions. She most enjoys getting to interact with prospective students helping them to realise their educational goals.

Coming from Bulgaria, doing my Bachelor’s degree in the UK and having the chance to spend a year abroad in Germany while working at the biggest private pharmaceutical company worldwide has allowed me to develop myself in so many different aspects in the last three years. I genuinely feel as a citizen of the world, as well as because I have been an Intercultural Student Ambassador and now a LinkToLeeds Ambassador at university – to support other students who are going through similar challenges while moving abroad makes me feel appreciated and useful to the student community.

I am a fourth year Computer Science student. I come from an international school background in Germany having lived there for most of my life. I work as a student ambassador at the University of Stirling and completed an 8 week internship during the summer after my third year.

Abby currently looks after Student Recruitment from Northern Europe but has been working in Higher Education at University of Warwick for 6 years and has previous experience in the workings of the central undergraduate admissions team as well as Warwick Business Schools undergraduate programme operations.

Hello everyone! I lead the British Council higher education portfolio across the EU region. I work with our country teams to support student exchange and mobility to the UK. Before joining the British Council, I’ve worked in research and science management at universities and research institutes in the UK and Germany – and came to UK as a European student over 20 years ago.
